It’s no secret that Jon Stewart and I lean to opposite ends of the political spectrum much of the time. I’ve always preferred his delivery over the multitude of unhinged extremist like Glen Beck, Chris Matthews, Rush Limbaugh, Keith Olbermann, or Alex Jones.
It’s not just the comedy angle. It’s the fact that he admits he is an entertainer while they pretend to be journalist. I’m a fiscally conservative, socially conflicted, registered independent. I don’t try to sell myself as anything else. I respect that, for the most part, John is pretty upfront about who he is and what he’s trying to do.
